Converse Boot
Posted: May 20, 2012 Filed under: Home | Tags: converse, converse boot, footwear 3 CommentsThis year I have resolved to enjoy my clothes a bit more. What more fun can I have than buying a pair of sneakers I love! I automatically went for the black converse boots, but bought these blue ones on a whim.
And now they’re my favourites!
The only problem with drawing one of them was that it’s had to sit on my desk for a week, or so! Sure I could have completed the drawing a little quicker, but I wasn’t too sure how it was going to turn out – so fear was holding me back a bit!
As usual I drew the outline in 0.8 unipin, then used 0.1 unipin to draw in some of the finer defining lines. Then I used black ballpoint to shade in areas and blue ballpoint to shade in the main canvas of the sneaker. Finally I used a payne’s grey colour wash over the sneaker to aline it closer to it’s darker blue shade.
I finally completed this drawing today; just in time to spill Wasabi Dressing all over the black converse boots that I’ve been wearing whilst I drew!
Buttons
Posted: May 15, 2012 Filed under: Home Leave a commentOkay, buttons was the theme for day 12 of the Every Day in May project.
I thought it would be neat to draw a pile of chocolate buttons. So off I went and boy was it a flat, uninspiring creation.
Hated it! (In fact, I can’t believe I’ve even posted the darned thing!)
So I took off and redid the whole theme again with a different set of buttons.
Now, anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE my brown, denim jacket. I got it whilst I was at college (many years ago!) and although I’ve had to re-dye it a couple of times and the edges are getting a bit frayed I love it to bits.
Ladybird Toothbrush Holder
Posted: May 13, 2012 Filed under: Home Leave a commentWell – a ladybird has wings, but this toothbrush holder, does not … Another one of Lucy’s things. She doesn’t use this to hold her toothbrush and she never uses the timer which the little fellow is holding. To be honest I don’t think this little chap is going to sit on the bathroom windowsill for very much longer 😦
