Quavers

Quavers smI don’t think I’ve posted this before … but this image is a little older! I sat in the pub across the road drawing a bunch of the quavers in the packet I’d bought.

They’re kind of crispy, melt-in-the-mouth (cheesy -flavoured) nibbly snacks.

Happy times – on pub crawls with John ad Ali; pub crawling round Birstall. Visiting only about six or seven pubs (some of them, we only even walked through!) But enjoying the many, and varied , snacks along the way; from quavers, to pickled onions to … the fabled .. ham and pickled flavoured crisps! Happy Days.

I feel like you could replace “quaver” with “scratchings” and the paragraph (and drawing) could hold! I miss british pubs – you don’t get anything close anywhere else.

    love your illustrations as always!
