Andrea Joseph’s blog sent me scurrying over here inasmuch as I love curry and your work is so original–drawing a recipe, can’t beat it.

Thank you Zoe. I love curry too, but as I put in my posts I tend to prefer eastern curries. This Prawn Red Curry is delicious and very straightforward to make. I need to tinker a little with the recipe illustration just a little (a bit of numbering and one or two arrows) as I need to make it clear what the steps are, but I was really pleased with the overall effect.
Did you spot the impossible onion rings on the Chicken and Sweet Potato recipe?

I did notice onions. My cooking of curry is probably sub-continent influenced and I occasionally mix Indonesian spices, like Sambal, and curry together. 🙂
I’ll be following to see how you refine this recipe-drawing.

Do you have a basic make “curry” from scratch with turmeric? The colours alone make for a painting.

Thank you for your interest in my scribblings, Zoe. You’re right turmeric would be fabulous to concentrate on – I already use the various browns in my palette more than any other colours.
